First, I cropped out the background to eliminate any distractions. 

The red indicates what I wanted to keep and the background was filled with black.

This was the first outcome, however, I did not like the way that the picture was cropped. With that being said, I re-cropped it.


I liked how this image looked better because it was more circular and will allow for the text to surround the image.

Some blur was added so that the image was focused more on the food and not so much on the background. This is the final image that will be used for the cover page.

My plan for Media Studies is to create a magazine cover, including a double-page spread and a contents page. The set brief to create the magazine is as follows: Main Task: Working as a team on some ideas, but creating an individual project, following the same house style (a maximum of 4 members per group). All images used in this task must be original and produced by the candidate(s) with a minimum of four images per candidate . The main task should be taken out by using preliminary exercises to build up learners' skills with technology and their understanding of conventions.
