Fitness Magazine Interviews (Examples)

These are a few examples of interviews for fitness magazines that I will take inspiration from. There is not much diversity in these interviews, but my interview will be including someone of color and someone that can relate to many more students of my age.

Two-Step Flow Theory

Through this theory, audiences are active and seen as part of a society. According to research, people find news through a variety of ways, such as influences. We have many influences nowadays, especially through social media. Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube expose individuals to different topics everyday that are considered taboo and not talked about in school. Individuals who are opinion leaders receive information and pass on their own interpretations. This information is then passed on to a more passive audience, which they then mediate.

Final Cover

From suggestions I received from classmates, I decided to make make cover page more minimalistic to appeal to audiences of all ages. I was happy with my final cover and how it turned out. The masthead and subtitles are all white because many people believed that colorful subtitles were tacky/childish. The subtitles are large and easy-to-read words that may attract audiences to pick up the magazine. I added a subtitle about the feature story so that readers could know what the magazine consisted of.
