Layout Process

I used this template from Canva, which intrigued me because of the masthead and the elegancy of the  image.
I replaced the original image with my image that was shown in the ‘Final Cover Process-Finalized’ blog post.

Then, I added all of my subtitles and the masthead. I changed the font for a few of the subtitles and the size of the text so that it would be balanced throughout the cover page.

The template I used on Canva did not have a barcode, so I used PicsArt and chose a barcode image from their many options.


I applied the barcode to the bottom of the image since that it is were it is usually found.

This is the finalized image for my cover page.

My plan for Media Studies is to create a magazine cover, including a double-page spread and a contents page. The set brief to create the magazine is as follows: Main Task: Working as a team on some ideas, but creating an individual project, following the same house style (a maximum of 4 members per group).
